   Here, the only villain from the beginning is the dad, who DGAF about OG Freesia.

   The story says that he is indulgent with her because of her dead mother, but it is actually neglect. He only cares about having an ability user as heir, that’s the reason why he remarried several times.

   Imagine being in her shoes: your mom —the only person who cares about you— dies, and your dad doesn’t love you because not only you aren’t an ability user but also a woman; you are a child and the only way you know to attract attention is throwing a tantrum, but your dad still ignores you so you throw a bigger tantrum, but still no response, only the servants pitiful glances, this makes you mad and torment the servants (because how dare they pity you?), they spread rumors and your reputation plummets. Your father still DGAF. And suddenly one day he remarries (a commoner!) with an ability user son. He has come to take everything from you, and you want them gone.

   Not that it justifies her behaviour, but it’s logical.

   The story tries to sell that her dad fell in love at first sight, but that’s bs. If that were the case he wouldn’t permit that his daughter bullied his wife. It’s clear that the only reason he married a commoner is because she had an ability user son, and that way he could appoint him as heir.

      To all : YAY! It’s not incest. Parents remarried and brought their own kids into the mix – no relation between them, so the first few pages will make sense later. Also-also the first 2 chapters were pretty okay.
