@Alchemist lets be real, she has no power, no backing, no support, she has a stigma on her back everywhere she goes, and on top of that, the one she thought to her best friend secretly a bitch which i think more or less involved in how she was treated.
she pratically lives in a hostile environment where no one is friendly to her, so lashing out is not the best option my guy. also, no one ever listen or trust what she said, so, it was likely that she tried to explain at the beginning but no one care so she gradually got tired of it and feel exhausted, and not bother to retort anymore.
she might looks weak behaving like that but it logical. she endured much for her own escape. so she got patience, gut and intelligence, u got to give her that.
Seriously I would get it if it was the real Astin, but if she was an adult when going there how can she let some strangers treat her that way, confessing things she didn’t do, and just accepting all that? At least the real Astin would have grown up in that environment so it would be understandable
This is the best! It’s so realistic to the modern day! Honestly if someone showed that much kindness in such a situation you would spill the beans. Plus no one has such OP confidence straight away! This one’s so unique! I think it will easily become one of my favourites!
