She doesn’t pursue revenge because she does not want to make her new life about revenge, and move on. But honestly, I don’t agree with her. Khalid did some psycho things that aren’t revealed yet and I won’t get into because I don’t want to spoil and take the shock value for manhwa readers. But he’s a danger to society that needs to be stopped, at the very least, not left to roam freely to find another person to do the things he did to Estelle. I think Estelle’s decision to let him go is dumb. He’s not of sound mind, who knows what he’d decide to do to her or her husband or children (or even some random person) in the future? I personally wouldn’t have taken that risk but that’s just me lol.

She won’t take revenge against Khalid, she’ll decide to just let him go off free and continue being his psycho self.
I need someone to spoil me and tell me if she’s going to continue to be this way or if she’s going to grow and we just need to hang in there.
Because she’s got some redeemable qualities. We see them in the flashbacks. She’s loyal. She cares. She is strong in situations that are extreme.
Right now, she’s traumatized. She dedicated her life to her country and her friends. And her best friend cut her head off. Now she’s in her enemy country. Her body is too weak to kill the guy who killed her. She’s in the body of a crazy lady. And she’s mourning the death of her people. Her purpose. Her own life.
It’s only been a short while. We can’t expect her to instantly be better. And this seems to be a slowly progressing kind of story.
…. so someone spoil me because I need her to get better otherwise this is just depressing.
@Anidori My comment wasn’t referring to your point in particular but rather the comments I have seen previously. It was trying to express the general idea that their could be a chance of character development and not every FL will be smart, strong, or scheming, as I’ve seen many people complain about those points in previous chapters.
And yeah there is nothing likeable about her now that I can agree to, but what I’m trying to express is that the majority of people are complaining about, is her not being particularly smart or cunning, and that those traits shouldn’t be expected from every FL. I’m not trying to argue about her being likeable. ?
@YingYue Look, I’m not expecting every manhwa to have a strong FL. Obviously, that’s impossible. But a FL needs to have at least one redeeming quality that makes you want to root for her. For example, Yerenica from Seduce the Villain’s father isn’t smart, strong, or powerful, but she’s adorable. I’m not necessarily looking for alpha female badass girlboss qualities in the FL, I’m just saying that there’s nothing likeable about Estelle right now. Even her desire to get revenge on psycho Khalid (despite him betraying her, killing her, and then badmouthing her after her death) is so wishy washy.
Why you even bothered to argue about others’ opinions, I don’t even know.
Yeah we all love a strong Fl and all, but do remember there’s something called ‘character development’. I’m pretty sure the author has a plan for Estelle
You guys keep talking about how the FL has no redeeming qualities, like do you guys expect for every single shoujo manhwa to have a strong FL? It will literally become an overusef trope, that’s not normal as not every single woman in the world are even that smart. Plus Estelle grew up as a night, so she has no experience on how to solve ordeals like this, while other ‘strong’ FLs do as they’ve been transmigrated or accustomed to that society since youth
I’m invested in the story, but to be honest I don’t like the FL. She has no redeeming qualities. She’s not smart or cunning, nor is she particularly kind. She’s not even physically strong like she used to be, and can’t fight. The least she could do is hide her true identity until she can take revenge, which isn’t even a hard thing to do because who tf would think that a dead knight’s spirit would suddenly randomly occupy the body of a noble lady in another country. But she can’t even do that. What on earth is she good for then?
