Wow, two time skips in one chapter, they’re really speedrunning through this story.
I’m still of the notion that the villain should suffer through the consequences of their actions so I would’ve actually preferred if the dad survived and was witnessing his own downfall and is the one going to prison instead while processing Suji’s betrayel and willingess to actually kill him. OR Suji could still go through all these but the dad still survives but is left incapacitated, make him a bed ridden vegetable, wasting and rotting away in a bed while watching the empire he built (technically stole from his brother) crumble.
I just really think death is way too easy of an out to horrible characters. Bet he didn’t even know it was his beloved daughter who betrayed and killed him before he died.
