   I’m beyond happy that they’re treating Joshua’s abuse as grooming and abuse and showing why she’d be so resistant to leaving (even without the additional plot of her identity). Usually the immaturity if the other woman is added in as a way to make her unlikeable as an antagonist but in this narrative, it punctuated how disgusting and intentionally disgusting that man (and by extension the men who’re aware of what he does) really is

   I’m also glad they how to interact with an abuser when you can’t immediately leave. The nuances of abuse and misogyny get overlooked so often in these stories and it’s so easy to hate the other person but the FL assessed the situation and gave grace where she could

   Joshua’s kind of a cutie. I hope she is able to grow up mentally soon with the FL help. She’s childish, but she already is worrying about the FL who has become her only friend and only one who doesn’t look down on her.
