😭😭 The heartbreaking aspect is that logically, it would make sense that her mother was lying about her dad and scheming without her knowledge, but because she spent two lifetimes with people like her mom, she’s assuming that everyone is like that. So even if her father and his family are just happy to see her there, she literally has no experience or understanding of people who aren’t abusive or scheming for political reasons.

It’s why she understands the ml’s actions as a debt she later has to repay, but doesn’t understand that the ppl she traveled with genuinely like her.

I wonder just what her father and his side thought of her in her first life. Her father has RBF but i feel like just like in this first life the face she saw was him in shock, not disgust and thought she would’ve reached out to him if things were that bad. I wonder if he investigated things after his daughter died or if he felt so shamed as a father that he kept his distance
.
Did others see how abused she was and said nothing or were there people who reached out and got blocked by her mother? Things are from her perspective (and she apparently isn’t fully aware of what is concidered the bare minimum of decency) so who knows what she missed
