You are only reading this from FL perspective. Try to read again from ML perspective too then. Being bullied and being beaten to the verge of death, no one to comfort or to support him. Rather than adult.. the suffering people have from childhood are more traumatic and stays with you for your entire life.
The series’ description os scaphism is TAME comapred to what it actually is. Yeah you are covered in honey and attached to a boat, but you’re actually sandwiched between 2 boats and thrown in a pool of stagnant water. And that’s AFTER you’re force fed milk and honey until you’re literally sh*tting yourself uncontrollably. And it doesnt happen just once. You’re pulled back to shore, force fed that same mixture, trapped in your own waste as bugs and vermin bore into your skin and devour you. And the ONLY way to escape is death via infection!
Poor kid. The older Rutger was a bit cold, but its obvious he love Leoni by his reaction from seeing the child version of her and he’s a very sweet child. I know logic doesn’t play much of a part when you’re angry and hurting, but baby Rutger needs some love.
