I understand that the FL has dealt with terrible trauma on her own, but for fu*k sake, she just basically overwhelmed with her own overthinking she doesn’t know how to communicate her own feelings. So eventhough she’s back in time she still can’t feel empathy towards ML
All these people mad at the guy. You all forgetting the fl was just as unhelpful. Not only did she not try to communicate despite being through 3 marriages including this one. She mentioned it herself than she had only realised that she needed a strong backbone to survive too late. Guy could’ve done more yes and so could she. And she realised this only now in this second chance of life that such change starts from her and not waiting and hoping for someone else to save her. They both had their fair share of problems and they both could’ve done more. Leave it at that people.

That it was a misunderstanding??? Seriously!!!?? Not caring for your wife day after day, not even replying to her when she is trying to strike a conversation with you, and not to mention the “nightly duties” I mean even a man talks to a whore before doing the deed, and this guy??? It was just something he HAD to do in order to give birth to an heir.
And speech impairment you say!!! Hahahahaha!!! The man who conquered a whole continent and is going to become the next emperor…. he is unable to speak!!!! I’m sorry, ain’t buyin’ it.
it doesn’t matter if it was a misunderstanding or not, it was years of not communicating his feelings that brought her pain and ultimately death. The least he can do now is suffer from her grudges and deal with the consequences. She doesn’t owe it to him to be the bigger person, neither can she while still being unaware
@Ayameshimitsu I agree! I mean he was the crown prince and she had been married twice before and ontop of that had not awakened her powers. In the marriage market she was considered useless and he was considered perfect marriage material…
Definitely a misunderstanding. Rutger loved her and with his speech impediment and lowered self confidence on top of not trusting people, never told her anything.
