However, since she managed to disappear from town and there’s no other avalaible apothecary NPC (because the GMs blocked it), no player coma come along an apothecary to take the quest anymore, and it looks quite obvious to me she’ll havve to play the role of the missing MC until the end.
Just the fact she’s able to use magic quite effectively to take down soldiers means she’s got some kind of a player’s characteristics and skills.
So I may be wrong, but considering it’s supposed to be a whole manwha, I guess she’s not out of the woods, by far.
Just the fact they couldn’t find her neither at home or at work is suspicious in itself. It’s like she’s been sucked inside the game and she may just not ever get out…
But she’s probably not ready to live there forecver. :p
Anyway, that’s why she doesn’t take it seriously and keeps her face hidden because she’s still thinking she can just lie it off without consequence and she’ll be freed soon. But I bet it won’t be the case… 😀
Maybe the translation has been fixed but what’s happening is quite clear. Adam has been ignoring the estate because the centipede has been using his sister as hostage. Seeing that the seal on the sword holding the darkness back was unraveling, he figured there was no point in fighting back and let the centipede do what it wants in efforts to keep his sister from dying figuring the estate dying was inevitable. Teh head butler however did not know about the seal getting weak and saw the Count’s actions as abandoning his people for his sister and feels betrayed and is begging the Count to save them and not only his sister. his strong conviction to the territory is keeping himself from fully becoming under the centipede’s control.
