Since the temple summoned her it might have been suspicious, maybe on her way back she’ll be attacked. Or she needs to be hurt while with Ceres so they can pin it on him.
WaaiT a min. Now that i think about it, i never expected the emperor to be that yOuNg. His wife is also young- could it be ceres is the son of the previous emperor or smth like that? Maybe he was the original hier to the throne? Isn’t this one of the most famous plots- or mayyyybe maybe IT’S REALLY THIS? I AGREE BTW HOW TF IS SHE NOT GETTING ASSASSIN’S NOW? HUH? 💀
But… Weren’t some of those assassins after the priestess… So how come she survived the journey? Or were they really just shietty cheap assassins that can’t aim?
.
Btw… It’s still unclear why those assassins happen… Is it because Ceres is actual royal, or someone is afraid that the whole seal/ritual thing gets solved?
.
I do love it that we concentrate just what the characters know and their dynamics, but I’m kinda starting to feel that it’s soon time for this story becomes a bit more serious – or it gets repetitive and boring.
We need to know more!
