While she is healing in the backline, if something went wrong and they get overrun, she’s dead. Riftan could probably survive and escape in a similar situation and anyone else isn’t his primary concern. In what universe would a normal person encourage their life partner to join when there isn’t an explicit need? That is unrealistic.
