Gosh, I really can’t stand the first and second couple. I’m only here waiting for the third couple. They’re the most realistic at this point in case of progression. The first two were just so abrupt.
I feel bad for Max. He was dragged into all of this on her whim, and has been used to the point now that he feels he loves her. I’m sure the plot will still go down with her insisting to her dad on marrying him, and that it’s important to avoid the future destruction. But, the reality is that he just wouldn’t be a good partner for her. Sure, he would be a fine house husband do chores, take care of the kids, and I’m sure they’d be happy being together but eventually she would have to step into her father’s role and take on responsibilities. At that point poor Max wouldn’t be able to do anything to help her and the snobby hierarchical society they’re in would never accept him or their kids. Things would be very difficult for the two of them. I kinda hope we don’t get into all that political stuff and keep things fluffy.
