Its a doom relationship from the start.. i think if Violet explain to Winter or at least voice out her stuffing he might understand and their relationship might improve… Its both their fault not their own.

I suspected after previous chapter either Winter will kill himself on purpose, like this ^, or unintentional, like drinking so much to silent the pain that he would die of it (or got ran by the carriage…) The moment he lose hope is one he lose all meaning of leaving.
It’s most common thing to say about suicides – that person who done it is selfish, cos he/she don’t think about other, just do it for yourself, most likely to stop hurting and buy all means if so, than Violet did it how many times already?
AND lets say it frankly, people are selfish creatures. Violet is also selfish since for her happiness she is making someone else miserable. Winter was selfish by keeping her by his site which was making her miserable then, but think about it, was he selfish any other way before? He was doing money for her, cos she was a princess, he though she need luxurious, that he need to redemption for being no one, he was “raised” that way, that he will be liked if he provides money, like with his parents. Remind me what exactly was she doing for him? I am not saying she is bad person, I don’t think any of this two are, yet if it comes to selfishness she is more selfish then her.
