   @Grr.4ya That’s what I said it doesn’t make any sense! Her logic was to adopt the FL and be nice to her to show her own son and I guess husband that she has change as a mother. She should instead have been nice to her own son to began with and then adopt the FL. On top of that after adopting the FL she rarely even payed attention to her own son rather then only played with the adopted FL. Which I guess instead of making the son jealous of the FL for getting more attention from his own mother he was empress of his mother behavior and began to also like her as a mother. Which also doesn’t make sense. Which is why I dropped this Manhwa.

   Ya I understand she’s not the strong fl that we all like to see. But she’s in the early stage still she’s trying! That old woman reminds her of her original mother of her world , so she always scare of her cos she abused her too. But she’s trying you know! She’s not dumb, she just don’t know what to do when she’s within a whole different world but don’t have any strong ally to rely on. Everyone who has eyes, can see that she’s trying to cope with the situation . So just stfu! And keep reading if you want to! If you don’t like, don’t read right?

    I honestly was disappointed too… I’ve seen tons of comments from novel readers that FL was supposed to be much stronger and the plot was different. Why did the author make it different for the manhwa or it is someone else? But still!!

    So… The novel is amazing. They have taken a huge shit on the original story and made it incomparably worse.

    The Duchess is supposed to be a strong, competent women who expertly puts bad people in their place. They have made her into a weak, useless woman who depends on her husband for everything in order to create an early romance that wasn’t originally there.
    – As if a weak dependent woman is a prerequisite for romance.
    – As if this story needed such exaggerated early romance to begin with.
    The highlight of this story, childcare, has been cut down to a minimum in order to maximize clinging to the Duke instead.

    So no, compared to what this could’ve been (novel), it’s not worth it. They have ruined a good thing and there is a better version (novel) out there that is more worthy of your time.
