Og Claude from the book is an absolute ASSHOLE. But this one is redeemable bc honestly I get it he’s been neglected and shit and Diana was the first ever light in his shitty world but was later on died due to child labor so i mean I get why he was angry but that doesn’t excuse the fact that he neglected athy and shit bc I KNOW FOR A FACT that there are ppl in the same situation as him but chooses to not abandon their own daughter, instead cherish them, it was his own choice to neglect his own daughter but he gets to redeem himself in this story. but in the og story he was a real asshole for choosing jenette and killing HIS OWN BIOLOGICAL DAUGHTER. Honestly I felt bad for the og athy, i wish I could give her a hug.
