What happened in her memories are before the time period they’re currently in.
Not to mention they were under control of someone else.
I do think they should respect her choice, becuz its clearly not safe where they are.
I also think she should be a bit more open minded to them, although a part of me see that she’s not truly cutting them off, Since she feels a bit down when it comes to talking down to them or doing anything to them, that might cause them to be sad.
So they both have some type of wiggle room,

So she wouldn’t sense her, but she might still have some left in that jewel? Also how did they not sense it in the last life? Is it cause the red head took too much and there was very little left to feel? I wonder if she just told the duke what she went through and maybe that would help. Tell him and your dad, hey I think my real dad will kill me, that red head hates me so that’s why I don’t want to go back.
