so, im feeling like, the empress will succeed here? get the powers, and then the mirror will say she has no spirit power, and thatll mean she’ll stay with the duke. Which tbh, would piss me off ill drop it if she loses her powers. Im so tired of FMC stories where they lose their powers its so garbage.
Ehh… I feel like a lot of the people who are mad at the Emperor don’t have children or haven’t helped raise kids. I can understand the viewpoint of the Emperor from an adult’s perspective. To him, Shuelina is his child and he wants to be with her and watch her grow. That’s a very natural feeling to a parent. He doesn’t remember her past life before her regression, and I highly suspect he was manipulated/brainwashed then. So it’s hard to blame him for something that hasn’t happened and may have been out of his control. To the Emperor his child belongs at his side, and he is aware of the dangers of the Empress and doesn’t trust anyone else to protect her. Is he right? Not necessarily. But he doesn’t have the same information that we do. At the base of his actions he loves his daughter. He didn’t give up on his child and searched for a boy, thinking it was a lost prince and not believing that he died, but found a girl and loved her just as much. I can’t hate him. It’s just a tough situation. The Duke is really commendable though for adopting this child and doing everything he can to protect her even against the royal family. Just a good dude.
I really feel bad for the biological father and brother. Fell from the schemes of the evil empress. However, I don’t think the Emperor is powerful enough to protect her. The Empress has wider network than he thinks.
