@mochiyum true but i dont think she choosed that, in the last chapters it said that tori was made and not born like that, she was just a kind commoner(ig?) but she faced the empress accidentally and the empress used alchemy at her to be made like that, its said her only job is to protect rupert so that he’ll become a merciless emperor, so she tried to get rid of lari because lari’s job is the opposite, she wants rupert to not become a tyrant so that lari will save bellua, and ngl i feel bad for tori because she couldve continued living as a commoner and find her life.
