Normally, I agree with you, but it seems he was dating her before he married the empress since she thought she was going to become empress. And I have a feeling she couldn’t back out from the marriage, either her family forcing her to go through with it or her desperation to leave
Honestly I dont like this setting. I think the Empress is in the right to be upset. She is the rightful wife, and the mistress is stepping on her ground. I understand FML was abused, but what did she think, that the Empress was just going to stand there and let her husband have a mistress?
