Compared to most manhwa stories I don’t think it’s as bad as everyone is saying. She never been in water so how would she know deeper is better? She was a slave, a SLAVE. Can’t read, write, and has been beat and forced a towel over her eyes most of the time. Expecting her to be smart at all (a slave child) is wildly stupid of the reader. Theirs worst stories out here and everyone is dog piling on a slave child for not being smart…

@CoolQueen22 I agree I couldn’t even make it past the first chapter because of how lack of common sense this manhwa made and the stupid FL. First of all after finding out she was a mermaid instead of swimming deeper into the lake to not be discovered she just stayed above water? Even though in her mind she was worried about being discovered and taken as a slave. Yet she stayed above water??? In the end she soon did get discovered by her so called brother. I don’t know if they are actually related yet or he was just saying that since they look nothing alike. However I think this so called brother is the ML since he is in the cover picture. Which I find it weird to have a romantic relationship with someone you see as your sister… Also to the other people below saying you can’t rate a story after reading chapter 10 you are totally wrong. The first chapter is supposed to be the hook to the rest of the story. If the first chapter doesn’t gets one’s attention they have a right to judge the story based on the first chapter. Normally the first chapter forshadows what the rest of the story will be like. So yeah you can judge a story after one chapter.
