1. All is Fair in Love and War

   Compared to other typical Revenge stories go, this one is super good. FL isn’t overpowered by any length, using mind games and charm to steal these men (who are not good people, so it’s fine). The ML isn’t a jerk who gets in the way like in other revenge stories; he’s a good person who sympathizes and supports her emotionally. He lets her see she is perfectly lovable without putting on a false character.

   This is a story where s*x can be used as a weapon, just like it is in real life. You can’t go into this with an idea that s*x has to be about love or that a heroine has to be a pure, spotless person to be worthy of cheering for. She knows what she’s doing is “bad”, but her revenge is worth breaking her own morals. She can wield her body like a weapon and I respect her for that.

   But even then, she isn’t made of stone and you can tell how much all of this starts wearing her out. She wants to fight dirty like the jerks who hurt her, but she doesn’t have a natural cruelty to do these things casually, even if her plans go well. It’s very humanizing and a good emotional balance to a story about anger and hatred. This battle might leave her with scars at the end, but it’s still a fight that’s worth it to find her peace.
