Incredibly powerful and wrenching. It’s so rare that a story doesn’t shy away from making you feel absolutely *everything*, and I wasn’t sure at times if my heart would survive the journey. The further it sucked you in by barreling hit after hit while clinging to what was sometimes only the barest thread of hope and maybe redemption in ever deeper, darker waters. The path was heavier than I imagined when I began, and so often seemed both stunningly unexpected while also dreadfully unstoppable. Beautiful and unforgettable, with a mesmerizing Mesopotamian mythos. So, so, so good. You will definitely stay up all night for this one.

This is a very interesting manwha/manhua (dunno how it’s written) that tackles themes of SA and the guilt that comes from it, as well as betrayal and unhealthy love/unrequited love, adding a heavy lack of trust to anyone that could potentially be the ML. It’s not super super heavy but does touch some harsh themes, so be careful. It’s really good, in my opinion, but I am angry at the two possible ML. I’m glad the story isn’t romance focused but rather has a interesting narrative WITH the romance added.
