Ugh i’m really having a hard time moving past this ML who does not think about the MC ever. like ever. like it makes bile rise to my throat whenever it shows her going thru her miscarriage and how responded and just how he is in general…………………… i dont think there is any redemption for him that would satisfy me.
Does the novel not explain her husband at all? That he has social difficulties? If I’m going off context and his inner thoughts and desire to protect the children as well as his history, I’m guessing Ainz was able to be more verbal with his two friends because his friends were very outgoing people who were friendly and dragged him along. Outside of his memories with his friends, it doesn’t appear he has a range of facial expressions and his social ettiquette seems restrained to formal interactions with very little personal interaction. I feel like if the FL read the original novel, she should have an idea that he has trouble expressing himself (example bringing the children to try to help rather than mock and just freezing up when he doesn’t know what to say so he stays quiet or speaks a single word). Maybe it was because the novel was through Sirena’s POV and she had been the exception to Ainz in the reaction department, but how crappy was the novel that nothing about this character was conveyed?
