@over-analyser Thank you for your advice. I didn’t think it was necessary to mention that my comment was referring towards potential spoilers for people who haven’t read the novel. I still like the novel version because it minimizes ‘too much drama or rambling’ from other readers.
@Angela_Raybun Honestly, i prefer this version a lot more; using senseless violence at this point feels less like Theo now — with how pathetic he feels about himself, using seraphim would seem like he’s lashing out with his brother’s precious spirit, which doesn’t click with me.
as for what else happens with the hole and so-on, i feel like that could still happen… it would be nice if you could have labelled this as potential spoilers for the people who *haven’t* read the novel and would rather have not been told this information.
Hmm… looks like this part was changed. In the novel, it’s more dramatic and quite visible Theo’s change. After knowing that Adaline was the one who put the curse on Lily and she was also in the mansion, without thinking Theo went straight to see Adaline alone. Theo also asked Lily not to meet Adaline and let herself meet the woman. Theo was filled with anger because Adaline had hurt Lily.
Theo immediately confronted Adaline and did not hesitate to slap her. That’s right, Theo slapped Adaline. Adaline was shocked by Theo’s behavior. Not stopping there, Theo also hit and used the power of Seraphim. Theo stopped when Lily came and asked him to leave Adaline’s business to Lily. Oh yes, this is also the first time Adaline asks Lily to save her from Theo’s anger. But Lily didn’t listen at all.
If I remember correctly, to break the curse, you can either kill Adaline or drive her crazy. So, Lily used Somnia’s power to make Adaline crazy and release the curse. After that, Adaline was sent home and her father was furious with Lily and Theo. He was angry at Lily and Theo for making his daughter like that, but there was no evidence at all. Then Adaline was made to leave the house and go to the hole where she pushed Lily. Afterwards, Adaline, in a state of madness, jumped into the same hole. That was the end of Adaline.
Tbh, it was also in this part that I came to like Theo. The change in his attitude that immediately put up for Lily was an interesting turning point. Theo didn’t seem as stupid or hesitant as before. It’s a thousand pities that this part was changed in the manhwa adaptation. Hopefully this change won’t be too disappointing. Because if not, I still prefer the novel version.
