   @amx The ML is not pathetic. He is a physically strong character and has a reason he does what his wife wants. He actually lets her fight her own battles and speak for herself and usually only interferes when she asks him to or is too upset to stop himself (which isn’t often because he trusts her and her abilities greatly). It’s nice to have a ML who doesn’t play the knight to come in to save her at every hint of danger, gets jealous whenever a man talks to her, and speaks for her the moment there is a little bit of trouble, or sits there trying to dissuade her because something is dangerous. This is a world where the patriarchy is quite obvious. Him taking her name and his wife keeping the title is considered an insult to him. Being named after his wife when being announced is considered an embarrassment and he proudly stands willing to let his wife take the spotlight, secure in himself and not his image or reputation. A lot of manga try to do this, and often fails. He isn’t over the top in doing this.
