@Krashburn28 What Kian is doing is bolstering her status. Becuase of the time period, if Kian was to say “husband”, focus will immediately shift to him and her accomplishments become his accomplishments for marrying well because he is a man. By putting her achievements first and leaving out husband, he lowers himself to raise her up. In this period, it can actually be insulting and humiliating for a husband’s name to be announced after his wife. Kian doing this is not only putting focus on his wife but showing that he is comfortable not sharing the spotlight and glory and lets her accomplishments be her own. It was hinted a bit earlier that women do not hold as much power and respect as men when the Baron threatened to take her in front of the royal court but this will play a role later on in a social gathering down the road, confirming the social status of men and women I just explained.

Aren’t they forgetting the title “husband”? She isn’t just his master and the new grand magician; she’s his wife ?
