Thats not surprising. What ive found is that most Shoujo intentionally dont go in detail about their own magical/spirit/divine systems. .
.
Whether that’s to make it convienent for later plot devices or what have you, remains to be unseen.
.
But there are a few Shoujo that give detailed and in depth explanations to their magical systems. Maybe you read them, maybe not, so I’ll recommend the few that Ive found with nuanced magical systems here in a moment
.
(But fyi, you may have read them all! These are all well known and popular Shoujo Manhwa! ALSO, these are all in relation to other Shoujo, so while they may not be as in depth as Shounen Manhwas magical systems, I’ve found them to be way more in depth than most other Shoujo….)
.

.
– 1) Reminiscent Adonis – has a very detailed and nuanced magical system … And a great story so its a gem. The best for explanating its system.
.
– 2) The Golden Haired Elementist – I’d say the name speaks for itself. Though, i don’t remember how in depth it was. I dont think it was as nuanced as Reminiscent Adonis though.
.
– 3) The Duchess With an Empty Soul – it has an in depth “magical” system considering its a big part of the story.
.
– 4) A Way to Protect the Lovable You – Again, somewhat, but i know later on it goes in depth into its divine/magical system.
.
– 5) The Monster Duchess and the Contract Princess – Because it plays a big part in the story, it explains its magical system pretty well (again, in relation to most Shoujo, which hardly ever explain their systems)
.
– 6) The Princess Imprints Traitor – Again, later on it becomes more conplex but still a step above the rest.
.
– 7) Death is the Only Ending for the Villianess – I add this because its “game” system is well thought out and comprehensive. Though its not magic or spiritual.
.
.
I know there’s more and honestly, the only one I’d say is genuinely comprehensive and nuanced is “Reminiscent Adonis” as it spends many chapters just explaining its magic/divine systems. Though you may have read it already
.
.
Hope this helps someone atleast!
Whenever I read magic explanations in mangas/manhwas I get so confused about what their talking about??
I actually try to understand it sometimes but it’s just gandigcvchakwhcy for me
