Ishid/Yunnifer not guilty as u said, the emperor if left alive, will sooner or later go after them, especially Yun as she was a water mage; they just decided to strike first before the emperor hit them that’s all. Ishid also want to escape the emperor influence and control, so this works both way for Yun and Ishid, cassian get the throne is just bonus along the way.

Cassian has his own reasons to kill his father, the emperor was mad, greedy and can’t be stopped if they let this chance slide. The emperor intended to experiment on rael first which is the trigger for cassian extreme decision. He loved Rael, but the way he did it was wrong, as ishid pointed out, if he love her, he should protect her, cassian didn’t, and now he rolling in agony and regrets which serves him right I would say.

Well cassian after seeing rael smile purely on the balcony made him realized how much he loved her, but his ways were wrong, and yes, to fix things as they were now, the emperor also in his way, he needs power to change things too so he decided to kill the bastard.

Well, later on he still hoping to reconcile with rael but I doubt rael will let him has another chance…. Unless sidestories has it in.
Why do they want to imprison Cassian? In the end he too has been a victim of his father’s crimes. The things he’s done so far don’t deserve to be jailed or beheaded for it. Well, not to mention he killed his own father, but they’re as guilty as Cassian
